Hi, my younger one is soon going to be 7 months old and he has not left my feed at all. He is ready for solids as he seems interested in whatever we are eating, holds his head and sits for sometime on his own as well. But he is not taking anything from a bottle, spoon, nothing. Tried giving him fruit juice, he wouldn't take. Tried cerelac, no. Tried home made daal, no. Tried nan pro, no. I am just not able to understand what to do. Please help.

Thanks a lot Him ani, that is very helpful. Even I will try give him ragi instead of cerelac and even a pacifier sounds good as he is teething as well. And good tour daughter likes a high chair but my son wants to sit free not on the high chair. He feels caught up in it :) Every Child is a new story :) Thanks, Shivani Gupta

Hello... My girl is going to be 8 mths soon n she is giving me hard time too... she was first not at all intrested in soilds or bottel... I first gave her passifier to get prepared for bottel. At least with passifier she realised that she needs to suck from bottel. After passifier she started taking bottel. For solids she does not take ceralac but instead I give her ragi and that is even more healthy. Try giving carrot and pumpkin. My girl likes only these two veggies may be that are sweet so she accepts it rest with other veggies no scope. She loves apple but only accept if its an apple sauce not grated once. Introduce high chair to ur baby ...my girl liked feed only on chair. Hope it helps.

Hey Siri and Preeti, thank you very much for your suggestions. And as rightly said, like every pregnancy is different, every child is different as well. My elder one took to the food so easily probably that is making it difficult for me to feed the younger one because I am just not used to all this :D Nevertheless, I shall start giving him new fruits now. I did give him grated apple and pear and he did take in a bit of both but yes probably that is good enough nd I am expecting too much :) Thank you very much :) Regards

Hi Shivani. I assume you must hv tried all the tricks in the bag, since this is your second one and you hv more experience than most of the first time mommies. However I remember reading, nd even my doc telling me that it takes 10 to 15 tries for few babies to accept the feed. I started with fruits. Have you tried that? Banana or Chikoo may be? Good luck.

Just try to introduce solid in a very small quantity like one or two spoon when he is playing. Just spoon feed him.
