I agree Mr. Sumit. but guti is hardly a pinch of medicinal substance. and since ancient times, it is advised and given. why today docs are avoiding it is becoz of chance of infection through foreign substances. but if one is assured about good quality of the product, I guess there is no problm. I am also a practising doc. and do give my daughter, the guti, gold rubbed in honey, and breast feed till now. and she is absolutely fine. after all it's everybody's personal decision.

Dr you are very right that ghuti increases immunity but it is always right to start it after 6 months............ Till the time baby is six months mothers feed do help in increasing immunity provides everything what a baby body wants. So i don't agree in giving ghuti before 6 months. After 6 month give whatever which suits baby's body. Its just my opinion. Regards.

For Dr. Also honey can very occasionally cause a rare form of food poisoning (botulism) in babies. If your baby has botulism, she/he may start to show symptoms around eight to 36 hours after eating honey. And ghuti contains this honey as one of the ingrediants.

Hence Herbal preparations are not suitable for babies who are less than six months old.  .... Just a suggestion from my side.
