Giving expressed milk to 51/2 years old kid

I couldn't breast feed my elder son due to some reasons and he is 51/2 years old. I delivered a baby 2 months back and I have enough milk supply, can I express the milk and give it to my elder son. is it helpful? can this increase his immunity levels?

hi Thakur Shilpa ! By the time your child is 5 years he already has a pretty well established immune system, and his digestive system is also fairly mature, so BM won't be as wonderful for him as it is for babies. having said that there would be no harm in serving him either . it's advisable to post the same query in expert column for an expert's advise.
