Hello, My daughter is 14 years old and from last year, her Period (Menstruation) has started... But it is a matter of concern that her period is not regular... I tell you: |2020| January 29 (Date) March 28 (Date) August 12 (Date) December 05 (Date) |2021| February 07 (Date) April 08 (Date) I KNOW THAT THE FIRST YEAR OF MENSTRUATION IS IRREGULAR FOR SOME HORMONAL REASONS AND BECAUSE THE GIRL'S BODY IS NEW TO THIS CHANGE SUDDENLY.... BUT THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR OF MY DAUGHTER'S MENSTRUATION... SO WHY IT IS STILL IRREGULAR ON THE SECOND YEAR? I'm very worried about it.. if anyone helps me with this,I will be very grateful. Thank you.

DR , I would suggest you to take her for a complete thyroid profile test. As you said, Irregular periods occur due to hormonal imbalance. PCOD is also a reason for irregular periods. Early diagnosis and proper treatment will regularise her flow. Do not worry.

@DR consultation with a gyneacologist might help as she might suggest you with tests to rule out PCOD or any other hormonal imbalance.
