hi experts/moms,can you please guide me ,as in how to plan a meal for my 2 and haf year old,as she is just not ready to experiment.. she has a set of meals evde... with no variations.. doesnot even take a morsel of new food introduced.. plz guide. TIA

Hi Monal, you could weave interesting stories around the food you want her to eat, such as spinach is popeye's favourite food and when he eats it, he gets super strong. also, make interesting things out if it. most importantly, request her to have 2 bites and tell her that is she doesn't like the taste in 2 bites, you will not insist more on it. And keep your promise. If after 2 bites, she doesn't like the new food, honoring your word, remove it and do not insist on more. let her trust you. keep trying new things and letting her taste. someday, she should be able to like something.

Hi Monal, you could try disguising the food you give her in interesting ways. for eg: if you want her to eat an apple, that she does not eat otherwise, try cutting interesting shapes out of it, using cookie cutters such as stars, circles etc. this will spike her interest. another way is to, drop one meal, and when she gets hungry enough, you offer her the new food you want her to try. she will fuss, throw fits etc. , but will come around hopefully.
