Hi, my son is 10months old n is suffering from severe gastro esophagus reflux and cow milk protein allergy. He is under treatment past 2months. He is doing quite well now but I feel the reflux problem and allergy still exist. How long will it take to recover n how do I deal with it He is under weight.

hi... even my son has got the same problem... do not worry... reflux is a very common problem among toddlers... reflux would subside over the period of time... burp him properly in between and after the feed...

Thank you for your comments Smittal and Deena. I have noticed that my son rarely burps. Now that he is crawling it is difficult for me to make him burp. Can u give me some tips, and my only concern is his weight. I don't see much physical growth in him.

is ur baby pre term?if yes, growth rate can be little less... my son(10months old now) was born in 30th week(pre term), he is 7. 6kilos now... until ur baby is active do not worry about the weight... now that ur baby is 9+ months old, u can go for "BERA" test, here they do complete growth assessment.. this test was recommended for my son because he was premature..

babies generally burp less when intake of air from feeding bottle is less, which is good :) my son used to vomit almost every feed, trust me those were the worst days of my life.. in between and after the feed even if he does not burp give him some time to adjust... also make him sleep in inclined position.. this really works

Hey Deena my baby is full term n weighted 3. 5kgs at birth. I'm going through the phase which you have gone through already. Now his condition has improved a lot. As you said I'm feeding him slowly and giving him time and it is helping. Thanks a lot. I am giving him all the fruits and vegitables which i can but his weight gain is very slow. I have never hear about BERA test. Wanted to know more about it.
