My Son is 4. 4 now and still naughty... That's fine to be naughty and only way to handle is with loads of love and right support... Keep talking to him and counseling him instead of punishing or scolding. Slowly he will start understanding and responding in same manner. Toddlers are difficult at times. Just keep calm and enjoy this phase.

Hi Esha ji, Rekha ji and Garima ji. Your query is very common in toddlers. Just remember that they learn and react on what they see around. Make sure that the environment in your family is healthy and good. Make them realize that what they are doing is not good. Play some games while teaching them good manners. Give them points or stars on hand as a reward, and tell him to collect many more stars by behaving good.

Hi all, I attended a class on effective parenting where this problem of adult behaviour in a joint family was discussed. Though they advised parents to talk to the other members of family in the absence of the child regarding what can be done, I personally feel that when this type of situation arises we must try to separate the child from them for that time. They may feel bad but for that time this can be better so that the child will be able to avoid such situations and instead can be better engaged in some playful activities. After some time the other elders will also learn to behave normally in front of the children. Then we can have a discussion at home. But in a joint family or a nuclear family this situation arises normally. All should be careful while talking in front of children.

my doll is also 4. 7 yrs old and she is also shows tantrums and naughty also but when she is showing tantrums at that time i leave her will not talk to her for few minutes and generally it happens when i left her with her attitude without saying any thing she just stop her activities and come to me and ask " aap gussa ho" according to that's the best time to tell her she is doing something wrong i don't know its perfect way to stop her or tackel her but for me it works
