Vanisree, in normal course, oranges, grapes, curds are excellent foods cause they boost immunity (vit c) and curd keeps digestion healhty. But in a bout of cold or sore throat, the acidic taste of these can irritate the throat, but there is no proof it can cause harm. It is indiviual's choice. For boosting immunity, the best recipe is a balanced diet and lots of exercise. While you can't do much about the external factor, make you cihld strong from inside. Regularly give him fruits, vegetables, curd, sprouts for a healthier body. Also, a balance of work and play-the happier a child will be, the healthier he will be. hope this helps.

Try a concoction made of 6-8 tulsi leaves, pinch of tirmeric, 6-8 black peppercorn and 1-2 cloves. Sweeten it with honey or misri. Can give it daily for 3-4 days till the situation improves. It works for my 5 yr old.

Boil 3-4 tulsi leaves, little ammount of ginger,2-3 cloves, pinch of salt, kalimirch all together. Give it to your baby 2-3 spoons every 3 hours. This will definitely help!! I do the same for my kid . And do not use it in other day. The other day make it all fresh!!
