Dear Jagriti, first of all, make your child understand that if he/she completes the homework on time you will allow him/her to play extra 30 minutes as a reward. When your child will do the homework, you also sit with him/her. DON'T do any other work. Your child will feel happy to find your active participation. Guide and encourage your child to complete the work not only on time but also neatly. Don't allow your child to watch TV before doing homework. ...concentration problem may happen. You can give his/her favourite dish as evening snacks. A happy tummy... a happy child. ..nicely done homework.

hi Jagriti! please do not compel him to do homework as he would not enjoy doing it and consider it a burden instead. plan his routine in such a manner it becomes interesting and he gets time to play, rest, do indoor activities as well as go for outdoor play. fix a time for hhw probably after coming from outdoor play, so that he will be fresh and all geared up do the hw. u could tell him, u will play a board game such as ludo, chess or whatever he wishes to play with him if he finishes the allocated work. work on two subjects with a gap of 15 minutes in between as one subject could become boring. praise him and reward him for his efforts. Jagriti it's boring to study during holidays , so u have to make it somehow interesting for him. think of innovative ideas to motivate him. tkcare!
