how to develop confidence and self worth

my 9 years boy is very sensitive. for few days m noticing he look up to me for any decision... i have statrted giving him choices. apart from it what else i could do... if someone says something to him he just get subdude, i want him to be more confident... and value his decision strongly.. please help...

hi srijana sharma! seek his opinion in matters pertaining to him at least .ask him to share his mind on important issues. praise him for sharing his thoughts. also you could make him join theatre classes or any activity of his interest like dance music ,sports ,etc. this would give him the much needed confidence. allow him to go for play dates and organize at yr home too.
