How to make child independent

Hey!! my son doesn't play on his own at all.. he just want me everywhere in everything.. doesn't even go out to play with anyone I give him my time but Than also he doesn't let me do my work for a while.. when I got busy in kitchen he use to call me and wants me to leave the work or he sits near me where ever I go.. even if I go for shower he use to sit outside the washroom and wait for me.. doesn't leave me for a min. he has so many toys to play so many things to stay engaged but still he wants me to play with those toys.. he doesn't play with them alone.. kindly suggest to make him independent..

hi Shehla khan! I completely understand your concern. it becomes very frustrating for the mother too as she doenst get breathing space when the child clings on to her the whole day.. it's advisable to begin by taking him to park everyday. help him make a friends circle there. also u could invite his friends home for a play date. allow him to go their homes(only if u trust he will be safe there). also u could make him join some activity after school. let him know u r around and reach there 10 minutes before time to pick him up. here is a blog with suggestions on how to make ur child self sufficient, please go through it.
