Hi veronica , my son is now going to be 4. I too had the same problem with him when he was around 3. So also used to force feed him as a concerned mother and he would never be interested in eating only. Also he used to throw up quite a few times.. then my doc asked me not to force feed and let him eat on his own time. then onwards i never used to feed him. i used to make him sit with us on the dining table whenever we will have our food. Used to give a small plate for him and then he will have as much he wants and i used to control my freakiness of measuring how much he had and whether he is well fed or not.. But then after a month or two he started asking for food and now i dont have to worry about his eating at all... Whenever he will feel hungry he will go to the kitchen grab something and starts eating. Breakfast he will have on his own Lunch and dinner will be of two portions of which first one i will feed and after an hour or so i will give him second portion which he eats on his own. All the snacks he ll have on his own. No more force feeding and actually now its the opposite even on Saturdays and sundays he ll get up in morning and wake me up and ask me to go and make breakfast... I am so happy and releived with changes. So my suggestion is for some days just leave him to eat whatever he likes and have patience its just a matter of time that they will get to know what is hunger and will be fond of eating.

hi Veronica! make him sit on a high chair. give a plate to him with his favorite cartoon character. put lil bit of everything u have cooked on it. let him feed himself. have a plate for yourself too and eat along. also put small bites in his mouth. if possible narrate a story to him where his favorite cartoon character had the same dish and became strong. Veronica some children need to be involved in a story or a game while eating .. ask questions , to keep him involved. he will learn to eat on his own sooner or later.
