My baby is now 17 months old and i want suggestions as to how i can stop her from breast feeding.

Dear Swathi, you can apply juice of fresh neem leaves around your nipple. the bitter taste of neem juice will decrease the interest in breastmilk. Keep your baby's tummy full with a proper diet. An empty tummy generally craves more more breastmilk.
