Hi khusbhoo! A child's id is very strong. They want whatever they want and whenever they want. In the sense unlike adults they can't wait for a thing. They have to have it then and there only. so u could try following methods : 1. Be calm and composed yourself. 2. Make yr child calm down, and let her know tantrums would mean further delay in processing of request. 3. once the child is over with the fit of repeating self 'I want it' Let the child explain to u, what she wants and why? 4. Build on conversation with a lot of praise, and slowly get to the point by saying whether u would buy her that at a later stage may be her birthday or some spcl ocasion or if not then why not?. Let's earn some points and then u can buy it. Buy her a piggy bank. If she behaves well and listens to u , give her an excellent . 20 excellent means one dress. this trick will work for some time. U will have to be innovative in yr next trick. But if u have promised something please try and fulfill that. That would build on her trust in u. Hope this works.

Hi Khushboo, the kids throw tantrum when they know it will work and they will what they want. When she is stuck on one thing, dont get angry but be firm on your point. Once your child realises, that tantrums dont work, she will reduce it.
