What is the right age to make your child sleep in a separate room or with grand parents?

Hi Lubna, baby sleeping with grandparents is almost similar to a baby sleeping with his parents, as there are adults to console or soothe him. However, sleeping in a separate room depends on your lifestyle, your upbringing and how comfortable is the mother and child with separate arrangements. Hence there is no ideal age per se. It all depends on you.

Hello Lubana. Babies sleeping alone in a separate room and baby sleeping with grandparents are two very different scenarios. If the kid is not sleeping with the parents but with the grandparent, in this kid has still got the personal touch of someone caring. This can be done when it is needed (if your child is still not breastfed and has an emotional connect with the person). When a child can sleep in separate room all alone could be a topic of debate with lots of ‘if’ and ‘but’. There cannot be any accurate age that can be given. It will depend a lot on the progress and the level of comfort of the child. Do take that into consideration. Any change made from the child’s daily routine should always be slow and gradual.
