Hi, My baby girl completed 5 and half months. And I have started giving solids something like biscuit with milk as she is not showing interest to eat banana, and rice powder(uggu). After 2 or 3 days of introducing uggu, she is pooping very tighten in small amounts. Also she is drinking more n more water than milk. And her body is also hot but there is no fever. Is this because of introducing solids or else dehydration problem?

hi sunayana ! whenever solid is introduced , it takes times for baby's digestive system to adjust to the new diet.. serve water in between meals. also as solid diet is introduced ,milk intake would also decrease.. serve this dish only once in a day.. for lunch and dinner u could give pureed fruits and boiled vegetables mashed and given in pureed form.

Hi Ayesha! she is also taking more water. And am giving her this semi-solid only once in a day. Am not at all giving any other pureed fruits or vegetables. Even I have stopped giving biscuit with milk. It something seems like constipation. She puts alot pressure while pooping. Is this condition normal? Or should I do anything to ease her?

add fiber by giving little bit of mashed papaya. give tummy time to yr baby, by making her lie on her tummy for 2 -3 minutes. masaage her legs in cyclical motion.
