Hi. I have started to givey baby solids and finding it difficult to steam and paste it. There are steamers and blenders available which are but expensive. Can we buy them? Are they really useful in the long term. My baby is 6 months old. Please suggest good brands for the same of you're using one. Thanks

Hi Jansi, I did not buy any of these. You can cut the fruit in small pieces and boil it in a pressure cooker and then mash it. Soon baby will start eating solid and you will not require to mash the food hence no point in buying them.

Hi Jansi Tripuraneni ! Since after 1 year u can serve whatever u cook to baby, buying of such expensive items for a shorter duration is of no use. u can cook in a pressure cooker or in a utensil covered with a plate. Food just to be soft and easily digestible .

Helo Jansi Tripuraneni there is no need for steamer and blender. For seven and eight months alone you can give purees or mashed food after that give what your whole family eats like dosa, idly, kichadi, rice, finger foods which helps to learn to chew. After one year you are planning to introduce other foods means they will be fussy and will ask for mashed foods and you too feel difficulty in feeding them
