Is gripe water safe?

My daughter is 1. 5 month now n has a little gas and also gets a little cranky in the evenings, should I use gripe water for her?? If yes which is da best please suggest

no dont give hr g. w. if she has gas problem thn lay hr on stomach gas will release and u can give saunf ka ark

Dear my daughter was also having same problem I started giving her dabur janam ghuti twice in a day before feed if you want u can try it it really help. Give ur baby once in mrg. and than in evening ard 6 pm

Also if gas issue is too much u can also apply hing mixed with Luke warm water on stomach but continue giving dabur Janam Ghuti very effective

Should I continue that on daily basis or only til here gas goes??

You can give it on daily basis and continue till 6months after that you may stop as In my family I checked with all my sister's and elders we all were given this for gastric issue and had no side effects

as per me first 2 months babies will be little cranky no need of worry it don't give gripe water because she is of just 1 month baby .even I faced the same phase at ur time.

Don't give gripe water as it has alcohol. try himalaya bossain or colic acid drops

hi.. yes gripe water is completely safe as previsously gripe water contained alcohol but now its clearly mentioned dat it does not contains alcohol.. im giving my son from 1 month 2 a day half a spoon regularly

Hi Nikitha, Please try coconut oil with asfoetida treatment. Heat the oil and sprinkle lil asfoetida and apply only around ur baby's navel area, this will release the gas. It is safe to avoid drops and external factors until the baby is grown up. Home treatment is always safe and it really worked!!

Hi.. Apply heeng on tummy.. Especially around navel.. It helps a lot.. Nd doc even suggests to boil 1/4 spoon of ajwain in 30 ml of water and give a spoon daily but I hv nt tried that.. But heeng does work.

apply hing bt before applying hing apply garam ghee vch babu can tolerate dt much hot dn apply hing n give massage on tummy or also u can apply colan water on his tummy dt willl give instant relief to babu.... and colan water is safe too for babies as well elders

No home remedies worked for my little one. Also gave med recommend by pediatrician but still did not effect so finally used Woodward gripe water since then touch wood she never had cramps she used to cry whole night because of them.

if she is on breastfeeding then check your diet it may be possible that you r eating something which is disturbing ur baby.... better to consult doctor before giving anything..... for my son I referred 2 different doctors... they gave me some medicine coliza drops very effective...... but do not follow blindly....

At this stage gripe water s not correct. pls consult your Dr. gripe water can be given after 6 months. coliza syrup s good . I also used the same but only with Dr recommendation. breastfeeding mothers should drink lot of water. pls chk your diet also. Take care

use vovdin in drinking water.... when boil water add 2,3 vovdin in it and then dringk gas problem completely solve...

bonnnison is best.. can be given right from birth.. its just modified form of gripe water.. n yes coligo/ colicaid drops shud b given 4-5 a day 10 minutes before feeding ur baby...

I used to give Woodwards gripe water to my elder one 3 years back... but now docs. don't recommend gripe at all as when I asked pdea. for gripe water for my younger one who is 7 months old she says a firm NO.... be sure that the brand you use is non alcoholic...
