Hi Apeksha! Do u see redness in this area or any discharge? If yes , please visit yr paediatrician. Is the baby wearing diapers during the day and at night? It is advisable to try out following things : 1. Discontinue the use of diapers for few days. 2 If it is unavoidable u could use nappy pads as these allow free flow of air. 3. Please change diapers after every 4 to 6 hours depending on the frequency of urination. 4. During day time at home u could keep the child uncovered for few days with long frocks or long dresses . 4. U could wash the vulvo perineal area with water. 5 please avoid use of any soaps or creams in this area. 6. Please get yr child examined from a skin specialist or a pediatrician to rule out any sort of fungal infection. 7. U could increase water intake of the child. 8. Trim nails of the child to avoid any cut or rash. hope this helps!

Apeksha, it could be either from 1) urine infection or irritation. Wash her properly everytime she goes to the loo. If still in diapers, change diaper frequently. humidity in monsoons increase infection chances. Keep the area dry and air it between diaper changes. If you notice a foul odour, whitish discharge, redness etc. , consult a doctor 2)it could also be curiosity of her own body. At this stage children, start exploring their bodies and it is completely natural and safe. Infact, don't admonish her or say that this is bad etc. , else she will end up confused about her own body. You could tell her that if she touches too much, she can hurt herself and that it is not polite to do it in front of other people. hope this helps.
