Making toddler eat himself

Hi,my kid is 1 year9 months old. still he doesnt want to hold any food item himself and eat. he doesnt bite anything himself. very rarely he will take marie biscuit. but evry other thing i have to feed him. it is not like he doesnt know,but he dont want to eat anything himself. how do i make him hold something with his hand and eat?

hi sangeetha.... just u giv few biscuit pieces/pomogranate pearls in a bowl.... 1st he use 2 grab 2 see the color thn he use 2 put down later he starts 2 eat..... eve time u try it out

thanks for the reply. i hav tried it. evrytime he turns the bowl upside down and runs away. doesnt even touch the contents of it. tried lots of finger foods. from veggies,fruits and cutlet kinda recipes.

no worry ma.... its quite normal even my son use 2 do like tht.... if i giv something he tries 2 turn the bowl upside down..... u giv him 1 by 1 at a time&sit with him..... watch wt he is dng..... suddenly 1day he'll eat by himself without ur knowledge.....
