hi Eshwar ! it's all day long thing. if your toddler is getting a long sleep in the day then may keep waking you up in the night. so make sure that your child dsnt sleep more than 30-45 min in the day after he's back from playschool. also, evening could be playtime in the outdoors with you or his friends/family and that would give him enough exercise to sleep well in the night.

Well, he hasn't started his playschool yet though, what we missed from his normal good-sleep days is his playtime in Park in apartments premises. We're in chennai and weather hasn't been good these days and we didn't take him out for play, I guess that's the reason for his tantrums

no worries u could organize playdates at home itself.. invite his agemates or u could visit them.. fix days and decide who would be organizing on which day.. just keep it simple and help organize the home before you leave and similarly they could help when they leave on play date organized by u.. so that it's not a burden on anyone.. also consider using common hall, or community hall of yr apartments so that kids are indoors .u could have story telling, puppet show ,drawing ,DIY activities, tear and paste, collage making, finger printing etc..

You need not worry. Kids go through some changes during this time. Try engaging with him into creative things and let him play with children of his age group. Playing will allow him to get tired and sleep faster.
