Kindly avoid feeding bottles and use spoon and bowl. For an 8 month old you can use Buffalo milk. You may add little amount of sugar to it if required in initial stages. Gradually reduce and stop.

avoid feeding at night ,for following reasons. it would affect yr sleep, it can cause cavities.. and it can also affect his teeth alignment. besides this if he is also on breastfeed , he would stop taking it and would prefer bottle feed once he gets used to it. u could breastfeed him before he sleeps and once early morning . then serve him a sip of water instead and put him back to sleep if he wakes up in between.

but my problem is he wakes up in night many times for feed. so i want to intoduce him to bottle so that i can give him full bottle formula milk at night when he is in middle of night half awake so that he could also sleep at a stretch and me too....

hi divya arora ! any specific reasons for trying bottle? if u wish u can continue exclusive breastfeeding till yr baby is 6months old. u could try in a dark room when he is hungry.. he would sooner r later give it a try .
