Hi Preet Ramani! Two cups of milk should be sufficient to meet the nutritional requirements of a 6 year old boy. if the child doesn't like taking milk u cud try other options such as rice/ sabudana/ kheer , custard with fruits topping, shakes, puddings, cheese and paneeer can also be incorporated in child's daily food plan. u can add home made flavours to milk such as khus soaked over nite grinded in mixer n added to milk, or badam powder or rose extract can be added to provide variety and color to milk. this will not only add colour but also taste to healthy drink.

Preet Ramnanl, like suggested by Ravina and Shikha, 2 cups or 300 ml should be good for a boy of his age. Asides of this, if you want, give him curd, paneer etc to increase his calcium intake. hope this helps.

HI Preet Ramnanl, A year old child should be good with 300-350 ml of milk in a day. But if you feel, there is a gap, check with your paediatrician on the right amounts. Besides this, keep giving him milk products such as curd, paneer, etc to keep his calcium levels ticking along with other nutrients he will get. hope this helps.

HI Preet Ramnanl, In my experience, there is no minimum quantity of milk in a day but a minimum requirement of calcium and protein. Even a cup of milk is sufficient if the child drinks it happily. You could substitute his diet with other products such as paneer, cheese, dahi, etc to make for the calcium and protein. Forcing the child to have 2-3 cups when he doesn't want, is not going to help but create in him a dislike for milk, for always. So, rather than just talk about milk, try and give him a balanced diet that should have all food groups such as carbs, proteins, calcium etc.

Thanks to all for giving me the best solution as I was confused because my pediatric told me that 300ml of milk is sufficient for 6yrs child but we should not give more than that it effects its kidneys,in daily Routine he used to drink almost 500 ml-600 ml of milk.
