hi Nithya! how did u find out milk production has stopped? there could many reasons for her crying. please relax and keep trying. may be when she calms down she will accept milk. the milk supply is dependent on milk demand. so more often she take milk, the better would be the production.. also to see if she's getting enough, check the number of wet nappies , if there has been no change , then u can relax. have a balanced nutritious diet, keep yourself well hydrated and most importantly calm down. have a soothing music in the background.. try and build a connect with your baby and please don't give up so soon.

Dear Nithiya, breastmilk production is based on demand and supply mechanism. Let your child suck whenever it is possible. *you drink enough water and fluid. *it is said by some aged women that dalia, sagoo, Masoor daal, paan increase milk production *take a piece of cotton cloth, soak it into warm water and compress your breast before feeding your child. *another funny trick, before feeding your baby just scratch your breasts downward 3/4 times. ..you will feel a pressure towards down. * I also faced the same problem. On doctor's advice l bought a breast pump by Avent and fed my son expressed milk for a long period of time. *a medicine named LACTARE is also very effective. PLEASE DON'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT ASKING YOUR DOCTOR.

Drink lot of water, and make sure to have atleast 500 ml of milk everyday, add some kala jeera (kalonji) powder to the milk, its a very effective home remedy to boost milk production. Also try to include oatmeal in your daily diet. Saboodana is also very useful for lactating mothers.. Nurse your baby as much as possible and pump out the milk after every feed if possible, you can store this milk in the refrigerator for 6-7 hours and feed it to your baby by indirectly heating it (placing the milk container in a katori of warm water).
