My Child has a habit of taking a bottle nipple in his mouth

My son who is 3and 1/2yrs old has a habit of taking bottle nipple in his mouth,i have tried to distarct him when he asks for it but he just doesnt listen .He takes it when he is sleepy or tired. How to get rid of this habit in my son as his front teeth are coming outwards coz of this?
