Hello Monika, a child's diet should be consist of solid and liquid food. After 1 year ONLY breastmilk is not enough for your child's proper nutrition. Try your best to introduce solid food otherwise your baby's stomach will be habituated with only liquid food. l also faced the same with my son. *Give him some finger food like biscuits etc to play with. You will see your child will surely put them into his mouth in a certain point of time. *you can give him homemade french fries. If he likes it, he will start eating solid food. *Keep at least 2 hrs gap between two eating time. lf the child is hungry, he will do less problem with the food. Take care

I am also facing same problem. My 13 months old daughter is not interested in any food, inspite of being hungry. My family is on view that I have incorporated this habit in her by offering her another food after she rejects first one. Now I am fed up of this habit of her. Not able to travel because of this. should I also stop feeding her to teach her that what is being hungry?

Hello Pawanreet, please maitain at least 2hrs gap between two eating time. Don't introduce more than one new item per week to the child. Too many new items make a child confused reducing her acceptibility. Too much milk consumption can cause loss of appetite among children. My pediatrician told me strictly not to do force feeding as it makes a child stubborn and panic stricken. Just wait and watch. My son twice did it. He did not take any food except milk for 3 days. Don't worry. Just give her some finger food and let her play. l am sure out of curiosity she will try them. Give her homemade french fries or namkeen biscuits just to bring back her interest in solid food.

One can keep gap of 2 hrs if child has finished her meal properly. But my daughter will have say 2 spoons of curd and then shut her mouth. What to do?As a mother,I have to offer her new food in hope that she may accept it.
