Hey .... Need to know ..Am I the only one.. Weekdays' evenings and weekends ... I keep on saying 'Beta Dheere bolo' ...'Beta Kam bolo' .... or make some less noise .... please keep your volume low... and by daily night I end up having a crocin.. Infact sometimes I think I am one of the Highest consumer of crocin.... But I feel guilty when both of my kids sleep (one is 4 and another is 2) that why I kept on saying that ... am i making them conscious ... or will it inmpact them in longer run......

Hi Indu. You are surely not alone. I have a 4 and a 1 year old and both of them can bring the house down! I too constantly telling them not to shout, not to drop things, not to talk loudly, not to run too hard.... and the list can go on! When they fall asleep and the house is quiet, I too sit and think if I could have done something different instead of shouting at them the usual way.. But one thing for sure Indu, it will not impact them in any way.. the only impact this can make is they will get too used to our voices and start ignoring us completely ;)

hey Indu, Anurima has showed us the light side of this whihc is what we need.. sometimes an issue seems too serious to the person who is in it. I do want to add this though - a small incident which bothers me till date. when my child was in playshool, he would frequently lose stationery an dcome home and get a scolding from me almost everyday. I simply thought i needed to teach him to take care of his things. One day i met his teacher and she casually mentioned that he is very particular about his belongings and if he misplaces them , he keeps looking. Thats when i came to know how my scolding had inculcated a fear in him and had him carry that extra stress.. he was so little and could not even convey his feelings.. I would have never known.. this and so many other seemingly small incidents (mostly my behaviors)have taught me that everything impacts these little souls.. so you may want to think about grabbing earphones for yourself while your kids do what they do best :)

Thanks Anurima and Neetu .... Hey Neetu the idea of grabbing earphones if too good ..but the problem is after every 30-40 minutes either my son or daughter keep on coming to me ... one crying and other with some hair of other child in their little hands, as a mother I have to play role of referee as well....
