Not eating anything

Hi moms, My son (about 11 months) is not accepting ANYTHING to eat from last 7-8 days (he is teething too) (earlier he was eating a bit willingly though a fussy eater since starting) he is now being force fed by elders at home ( I am working and his maid too has changed recently) and now he has completely stopped opening his mouth for food (he starts crying on seeing spoon). What should I do? Should I force feed? Or keep trying till he accepts willingly even if his acceptance is zero for some days n till then feed him milk? Or any other advise? Pls advise.. I am too tensed on this issue. Many thanks.

hi Priya Jain ! I do comprehend your concern. force feeding would make him further averse to food.. divert his attention with a story or music. change his spoon . keep him occupied by serving him food in a small attractive plate. he might create mess but thats okay... give him liquid diet if he is not accepting solid. also try give him cold stick of carrot ( in ur presence to avoid choking). rub gently with wet clean cloth on gums to soothe itching. please go through this blogs with tips on how to soothe teething baby. hope u will find these handy.
