outburst and sensitive

My 8 year old is usually obedient and gets along with everyone. he is friendly and polite. The one thing that is bothering us is that he starts crying and gets angry if i reprimand him about something or scold him without even raising my voice eg. a few days back he dint have his lunch at school, on the way back i kept asking him the reasons and he started crying and getting angry. how do i help him with this.

hi sandhya.. i completely empathisize with your situation, as I face similar situation with my daughter who is almost 8 years. What I have understood is that such kind of emotion outburst display Fear of unknown. what I understood is we need to change our approach is asking them. i have softened my approach while conversing with her. , try changing your approach while talking to him.
