1] 3-4 tulsi leaves; 2] 1/2 inch ginger grated; 3] 2 'long' pods; 4] 2 kalimirch pods; 5] 1 tea spoon saunf; 6] 1/2 tea spoon mint leaves powder; 7] 1/4 tea spoon ajwain; 8] 1 badi elaichi. -- Mix and let it boil till the water remains half. Strain and keep it for using whole day. Add very little sugar (or salt) to tase and give two spoons at a time (Twice a day - morning evening) to your kid. Elders can have 1/2 cup at a time and can add rock salt or lemon drops to taste. This is a very effective home made syrup and you can see its effect in two doses. Best effect when given at night before sleeping. This also takes care of stomach pains or indigestion which is sometimes seen along with cough.

Some of the following home remedies are very effective in curing allergic cough. 1. take ginger extract n mix it in a tablespoon of honey. U can give it twice in a day. 2. Gargle with lukewarm water and a pinch of salt empty stomach gives soothing effect to sore throat. 3. tea with TulsI leaves, ginger and salt is again very effective. 4. steam inhalation before sleeping can help relieving congestion. 5. Warm milk with pinch of haldI powder also helps. 6. roast haldi powder on Tawa till golden brown and add it to a teaspoon of honey. Serve it before sleeping. Hope these are useful!
