I started solving simple crossword puzzles with my 6 year old. It helps to keep her busy and also learn new words with the ability to find them in a maze of letters :)

When we are playing outdoors, I point out things to my curious 3 year old such as a bud which will bloom into a flower or a pupa if i spot one. this then intrigues her, and she asks me ques such as how, what, why and this becomes a learning experience for her

my son is 1. 5 years and loves to have a bath, sitting in his small tub. while he is playing in water, i give him nesting cups to play with. he learns the concept of small and big, etc. we also do some nursery rhymes at bath time.

My favourite activity is when I practice piano with my son. I had left my piano practice many many years ago . Now when my son is learning, I join him. We both play in different octaves with four hands play it's so much fun playing together. Sometimes I play bass when he practices his treble and vice versa. for aural practice, to make it fun, when one of us play the chords, the other will be singing along meow meow meow for the chords instead of the solfege. We do the same for scale transition too. He too finds it fun when we practise as a team.
