My son is 7. 5 month old. I have not yet got my periods after delivery. I breastfeed my child. Is it normal or do I get myself checked with a doctor? Please advice

Hi Kruti Mehta It is absolutely normal that you might miss your periods for several months after delivery. This is because, as you are breastfeeding your baby causes your prolactin levels(hormone control lactation) to raise this in turn inhibits other hormones which causes menses. This called lactational Amenorrhoea(absence of periods during breastfeeding.
