My child who is 16 years and in 10th std is after me to buy him a phone once his exams are over. what is the right age for an adolescent to have a phone. He keeps telling me all his friends carry a phone .he is always angry with me for not buying him one. Am I being too harsh on him?

Hi Divya, Take time to make him understand why mobile phone is not good for him at this age, talk about the radiation and the addiction one might get into. You can even ask to give to alternate option which you can gift. This might help after all you are doing good for him so don't think that you are harsh.
