hi dear.. I am in delhi. and as per the city school trends, here preschool generally starts with2. 5 yrs. the funda is every main stream school take minimum age for first standard as 5. 5yrs and above. So every school plans a preschool format of 3 years so that eventually the child is of apt age to get admitted in 1st. The general pattern is 2. 5+ pre nursery or play 3. 5+ nursery 4. 5+ prep or upper kindergarten as the school says. 5. 5+ 1st class. Ideally its suitable to start preschool at 2. 5years if your child is quite well accepting the new challenges.
