hi banishree.. dont worry babies are like that.. they need variety of foods.. first they eat and then they dont.. i would suggest you to give home made food.. whatever flavours u have mentioned can be prepared at home itself.. u cam also alter tastes according to your baby .avoid these processed foods.. they will just fill their tummy but not nutririous.

for rice... just wash good quality rice, sun dry it and powder.. u can add few jeera.. good for digestion and flavour too.. rice better use organic brown rice. brown rice is much nutritious than our regular white one. u can store this powder in air tight container. whenever u want ro prepare porridge add a spoon or two in normal water and cook on low flame. after u get ur desired consistency. cool it and add little formula milk.. no sugar or salt.. i give this to my 6 months baby.. She likes it. try and see.. v can be sure of its cleanliness and nutrition.. no processing or preservatives.

for ragi.. initially v should not use powder to prepare porridge. as it is difficult for digestion. till 8 or 9 mobths use this method. little difficult and time consuming but for the sake of our baby v can do it. ragi very rich in calcium and puts weight in babies. they become bubbly.. recipe: soak a handful ragi in water in night. let it soak for 10 to 12 hours. squeeze the water and grind it in mixer. now squeeze thro a filter u will get milk.. add some water grind again and squeeze. nearly half glass milk u will get. now add twice amount water. keep in low flame.. keep stirring continuously and cook. in 10 mins or so u can see it will get cooked and u will get paste like consistency. cool it. use formula milk to mix and feed.

Ragi is not so tasty hence baby's don't like. Try to give some spoon. Don't stop if you want to continue, some days babies are very fussy. Try to give at least 2-3spoons. One thing I will suggest always home made food are better.
