hi.. I'm 14 weeks pregnant my doctor gave me iron and calcium tablets by taking dis my potty comes black... plz suggest me what to do

Hi.. mine is also same situation as well same time of pregnancy... My doctor said.. that Iron goes out from body with this colour... when your course of iron tablet will get over.. then the stool colour will also b normal

Hello... it is normal if your stool is coming black... just you need to take care is that you will not face problem of Constipation....

if normally also we take iron tonic like dexorange we get black stools... its normal

my doctor suggested me to take both the iron and calcium tablets after lunch, and she did not mentioned for the time gap, what to do....

Hi. This is quite normal only itz due to the intake of iron tablets no need to worry. Both calcium nd iron tablets should not taken together atleat of 6 hrs gap shld be thr betwn both. I'm taking calcium tab at morning nd iron at night.

hi Monika ! In addition what Puloma has mentioned please keep a gap of 8 to 10 hours between iron and Calcium tablets as calcium hinders iron absorption. so ur body won't be able to absorb complete iron as is the requirements. instead take vitamin C rich food which boost iron absorption ..

Hi Monika, this may be due to iron intake. Just have lots of fluids including water and juices. And once let your doctor know about this.
