hi members.. i bought ragi powder.. can anyone plz tell me how to give ragi to baby.. i mean plz share some recipes.. my baby is one yr old..

Hii sonia... U can also make ragi powder with other grains like soya beans, red rice, moong, black grames, weat, masoor, Toor n urad daal, poha, saabudana, dry fruits.... Etc.. it gives all types of vitamins n could be the good source of calcium, protein n iron... In half kg ragi add 1-1 cup of other grains n make powder... To make ragi take 1 tspn ghee in pan n roast powder on low flame for 2 min then add hot water n jagarry n pinch of cardamom powder .. Keep it to boil till it becomes thick...

hi you can give ragi porridge as puloma told. since your child is one year old try giving ragi roti too. saute vegetables like onion cabbage carrot then add ragi powder and make a dough by adding water. roll it into roti and cook.

Hi Sonia, if the ragi is roasted then ok otherwise roast it on low flame. take some water/ milk in a pan let it warm then add a soon or half of suger / jaggery, 1-2 spoon of ragi powder in it keep stiring to avoid lump formation. keep the consistency as per requirement. Add some powdered dry fruits in it let it cool and serve .
