Regarding breastfeeding

Is it compulsory to breastfeed the child exclusively till 6 months? What else can we start with it?

hi Pratibha Kamal Pamnani ! yes exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for first 6 months after birth as it is a complete food for the baby . besides,such a small baby would not be able to digest anything other than breastfeed. however if breastfeed is not available to the baby due to some reason ,formula milk can be given to the baby.
