Should I be giving an antibiotic to my baby.

Hello all momies, my son is 1. 8 yr old and down with severe fever, cold n cough since the past two days. I had shown him to his pediatrician and she had prescribed pirixyline and P 250. He is still not better. He had 100 fever last night. ,he did not eat anything. He has developed major doc phobia so whenever I take him to the doc he cried a lot. so I can't take history the paediatrician again. Now, my family doctor has prescribed an antibiotic to him. But I am bit skeptical for giving him. Please help.

When Ur child is so ill neither U or Ur child has an option but to go to the Dr and listen to Him/ Her. Plz listen to the Dr and follow the instructions. Whether Ur child cries or not he has to visit the Dr he has no option this U have to get it clear in Ur mind so the child will automatically get clarity. Babies not eating food during fever is common as even we adults don't feel like eating. So don't get stressed so much deal 1 issue at a time. 100 fever is not much and I m sure Ur Doc must have said its Viral. It will take 4 to 5 days to go completely. Keep Ur child hydrated try to give more liquids either BM or Soups Or warm water Or Termeric Milk as much as possible. Give Steam if U can safely.
