My son is 3 years 7 month old. He dont understand other likes and dislikes. He is a single child. He is always forcing others to do what he likes. If something went wrong, he is crying more, not listening our words. How to make him understand this?

hi Mouli Vinoth! hope u r doing good! the first child is usually the pampered one and is a pro in manipulating people around him. u could speak with him and explain to him once he calms down or is in a mood to listen to u. explain how others too have wishes and get hurt when not given a chance to express themselves. explain through stories, around the same theme. teach him sharing and caring. praise him when he is good. when he listens to u, just hug him and thank him for being patient. be a role model. set examples for him by allowing others to express themselves, and teach him how to wait for his turn when in a conversation with someone. talk to him politely. don't let your tempers rise when he misbehaves. teach him how to control anger and instead redirecting it for doing some fruitful. for intance if he is getting angry, he could simply play basketball and use those pent up emotions to put a ball in the ring. or simply jump up high in air to divert his mind. hope this helps!
