Mrs Ammad it is common to have sleep discomfort during pregnancy as the body size is increasing and there is a pressure on uterus and the the normal sleeping side which an expecting mother used to to sleep will not feel easier for her now. But it is advisable to sleep on the left hand side of your body with some extra pillows near your legs and calves to comfort you and make a good balancing posture while sleeping. You can have hot water bottle placed near your legs to make you feel comfortable and warm if you feel cold during night. If still the condition doesn't improve you should consult your gynaecologist.. Hello Mrs Ammad its always recommended to sleep on the left side during pregnancy and not on the right side. So don't worry. Sleeping on your left side will increase the amount of blood and nutrients that reach the placenta. Best way to sleep during pregnancy is called as sos which means side on side. So no matter on which side you sleep. You will have discomfort durinh sleep because of heartburn, backpain and increase in size of the abdomen. If you have very much discomfort you can get a sleeping pillow which are available in markets. You can also keep a pillow between the legs to maintain the blood flow. But make sure you dont sleep on your back
