hi Ramya.. not advisable to start before six mnths unless ther is some problem in breastfeeding. If ther is problem... and u wish to introduce supplementry food... then stick to liquids only till six mnths like fresh juice, dal ka paani may be jus once in a day or alternate days. At this point of time baby's digestive system is highly sensitive and vulnerable. A weakened digestive system at this stage can be a problem for the lifetime.
