My son completed 4 years this month. He was using mobile for 2hrs. Then we purchased so many activity books for him. like maze, find the diffference, colouring etc,and some educatioal toys too. Now he is very much interested in such activities. He is not completely stop the mobile. but maximum half an hour. please try different kinds of books. Definetly it will work. one thing is we should spend time with him .

First of all parent should not use mobile phones. Because they do what they watch. Secondly try to engage them in different activities with you, so that bonding will increase between you and kids. Lastly tell them drawbacks of using excessive smartphone. teach them to use it for creative / educational purpose.

fix the days in which he/she can play with mobiles only for half an hour... if they can't obey ur rules then cancel some thing which he/she enjoys to do.. like watching TV, playing with friends... then only he would understand.

hi Ambika Prasad! u could delete all apps from your mobile. make sure family members too avoid using it during meal and sleep time . restrict its usage to max one hr in a day. give him a smiley on not using for more than an hour in a day and on collection of seven stars give him a reward .please go through this blog. Hey! I find this Parenting blog really interesting. I suggest you have a look too: https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/is-your-child-smartphone-obsessed/546?ptref=sa0l000030g00f6

Try to engage child in other activities. get some new toys and take them out... u wil have to give time urself so tha day is spent engaging their mind.. my daughter was phone addict since she was 8 months.. earlier it was easy i used to give her phone and feed her... do my work while she was busy with phn... but slowly she became an addict and its a common story with all kids... so i changed her timetable... i started feeding her while making her sit in d window and started conversstion with her... at times i gave her the mobile only during feeding... later i used to take her out to play.. when i at home she used to point to mobile but i distracted her mind by something.. giving her some toy to engage.. giving her cheeslings to play with, water in a glass to splash all around.. some crayongs to scribble on book... cupboard drawser to explore and get out all things... but make sure u sit in front so that child does not swallow any small parts during exploring .
