Hi Ladies, My son is 6 months old and I have introduced Solid Food to him. He is completely on Formula milk. My concern is my baby takes only mashes biscuit (Parle G) in Formula Milk. I have tried Sooji ki Kheer, Khichri, Mashed Moong ki daal, Mashed apple, Mashed boiled Potatoes. But he is not interested in having all these things. He just starts yelling whenever I feed him with all these things. Please suggest what else I can give to my baby. Thanks

My daughter is 5 months, I started introducing solids! Try rice cereal like nestum rice, cerelac rice or farex rice. He may like it. Try rice water, dal water. Even dried grape- soak 4 big dried grape in hot boiled water and mash it completely Followed by straining the pulp to get the juice. Add two to three PCs of misri or little sugar(just pinch) and give him. Ripe banana can also be given. Just try if it works out.

Hi Dipti.. First of all congratulations on completing half year of your baby.. ! Secondly, Parle g or any other biscuits that contains the white flour(maida) is not at all recommended for babies. So plz stop giving that immediately. Ur baby likes biscuits, that means he is preferring sweet over salty food. I would advise you to plz make cookies at home and give that to ur baby with milk. Rest, concerning salty food, it takes time to get habitual to that for babies. Coz it's a sudden switch from sweet milk to salt. So don't lose your patience and trey everything that can be given to ur baby. May be not now, but in next 15-20 days, when he sees that there is no option than eating this food, ur son will automatically adopt to it. Kids are way smarter than adults and they come to know when will parents give up on them. So I would advise you to give him a variety without stopping. Try and try, and you will succeed. It will take time, but don't give up. Happy Parenting!!
