steam for cough

My 10mnth old daughter is suffering from cold and cough since 10 days.. at night she coughs more n due to coughing she is not able to sleep well.. I m trying evry home remedies.. giving mustard oil massage infused with ajwain n garlic.. giving her jaiphal.. visited doctor giving medicines.. bt no help.. can I give her steam.. z it advisable ..wat more can I do.. I live in Ranchi n weather here is cold

hi Sweta Kedia ! yes u can definitely give yr baby steam. hold ur baby in yr lap in ur washroom or any small room and keep the. steamer on for 10 to 15 minutes..

use blankets in the night so that she wont feel cold... :-( upset with kids...

Hi mam.. what time is appropriate to give steam.. and what precautions shall I take.. as after giving steam after how much can I tk my baby out of the room.. as it can catch cold immediately aftr giving steam.. n how much it usually takes for coughing to cure
