Stem cell banking for child's good health

I am 7 months pregnant and considering stem cell banking for my baby. There are many companies like CryoBank, LifeCell and CordLife having stem cell banking service. We are planning to go for Lifecell after a satisfactory discussion with their representative. We are also okay with their package. Does anyone else took stem cell banking for their child? If yes, please share your experience as it will be helpful for parents like us to make a decision.

Yes I have also done stem cell and menstrual blood banking, though I pray I never get to a situation where I need to use these but still went for it as it makes a lot of sense cause it helps in times of need not only for the child but for siblings, parents and even grand parents in some cases.

Yes I have done stem cell banking, I took from Babycell company. There package was better from other companies.. Not only .package but they also give free treatment if one uses the stem cells up to certain amount. You must call there reprentative n at least get information about it.

Hi Sonal, I delivered my baby girl 2 months back, also went through the same struggle of finalizing one reliable bank for her stem cells, after taking presentations with so many banks I went ahead with Babycell, and trust me I had a very decent experience with them. To begin with, the presentation they gave was best as compared to others; we actually understood the concept in depth only through their presentation. Also they do HLA & CFU testings which are a little technical to make you explain here in detail but are extremely useful and helpful.

Thanks a lot for all your responses. When we considered babycell, they didn't had a transparent package as in they offered different price so we weren't sure. Moreover, we live in Chennai and lifecell facility n their main office is also here so went there and had a satisfying discussion. but really thanks for all your inputs. How much did you pay for babycell, if I may ask? @sheetal kapur
