stop breastfeeding

from last 10-11 days i have stop breast feeding to my 2. 5 years child. but sometime she ask for it and cries a lot... i feel really bad..... pliz suggest how to handle this situation.

hello bimla ... can understand your situation. but you have to be strong here, giving in to his demand will not help. in sometime child will get used to it.

hold him upright on shoulder, dnt lay him on tummy chances for demand, dnt expose after bath b strict in feeding give food if feel hungry

I just weaned my kid off. and it felt like a herculean task at the time, cos he threw fits through the first night. we just took him to the car, and started the engine. the humm of the car soothed him back to sleep. on the 3rd night he knew, the milk was over. and he accepted that. we offered him water, and kesar milk.. which he refused the 1st night of the fight, but by 2nd night he accepted. now hr eats well fir dinner, has kesar milk before bed, and only asks for water in the night. I think one important thing is to keep talking to the child, that mommy's milk is over, finished. and that mommy feels sad when you ask for it. the little ones are way more understanding than we think they are. good luck.

Hi bimla, Myself too faced this situation. I used to apply aloe juice,so that he doesn'nt come near me for milk. Actually this tip helped me out. Think this will be useful for u.
