Hi, My son is 3. 5. He is very stubborn. He does not want me to do his daliy things. He wants his father for everything. He cries a lot. lets say, if he is asking for a icecream and i dont want to give him. He will cry for 1 hour continously which makes us angry and irritated. How to handle such kind of kids. I mean he will ask for anything through crying. He never demands anything through smile. So it makes us irritating as all the time he is crying. Please suggest

sonia sharma, might sound harsh, but let him cry it out. Send him to his room and let him figure things out on his own. You can detach yourself in another room. Once he understands mom is not going to listen, he will stop. Also, explain the same to your husband that he shoudn't interfere either else the child will learn to surpass authority. I have done this with my own child and she is much more manageable now. she has understood that tantrums dont work.
