my 4 yr daughter is very stubborn. she tends to beat my 1 yr old and other kids. snaps toys from them and so on. yelling and shouting all in vain.

I understand your concerns. please try and find out the reason why she behaves so. deal with her patiently and hug her often, take her in your lap and kiss her. give her loads of love . probably she needs your attention so seeking it by behaving badly. please have a look at this blog.
