sucking fingers

my daughter is 6 months but she still suck her ring and middle finger while sleeping. How to avoid this. Please give sugessions

from last 3months. but she was not able to put her fingers exactly now she can put easily into her mouth without any difficulty. it is more often she put her fingers to mouth

My 3 months old is also doing the same. Instead of mittens I tried doing breastfeeding (also if your milk is not coming) even if she was full which helped her not sucking her finger more often. I would say this trick helped me slightly. Whenever a child sucks, a mother should take her immediately and let her suck till she satisfies. From this, what I understood is the child require her mother for certain period of time.
